The Perf-Exion Technology Platform

Perf-Exion is an in vitro technology that provides real-time analysis of a range of tissues critical for FDA approval, assessment of systemic effects, transfection studies and clinical pharmacology screening.  PM-1 the first Perf-Exion instrument allows automated concentration-response measurements to be carried out in living tissue preparations, with automated detection of tissue dimensions, pressures and flow rates following exposure to test compounds.

Perf-Exion, Biopta's patented platform technology has won numerous awards for innovation, including a Scottish Enterprise Proof of Concept Award, a John Logie Baird Award and a Scottish Executive SMART Award.
