Monica Grant joins Biopta Ltd in the UK

We are pleased to announce that Monica Grant has joined our team in the UK!

Monica graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University in June 2014 with an Honours degree in Pharmacology. Whilst at University Monica developed a particular interest in cardiac physiology and for her Honours thesis she investigated the 'Mechanism of beta-adrenoceptor-mediated vasodilatation of isolated rat aorta' using in vitro pharmacology techniques.

After graduating Monica spent a year working with NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde in Pharmacy Production. Here Monica worked in sterile laboratories assisting in the production of, amongst others, chemotherapy IV bags, eye drops and pre-filled syringes.

Monica will be working as a Research Technologist in Biopta's operation team and will be conducting translational assays in a variety of fresh human tissues including heart, lung, gastrointestinal and skin.
