Changes in the structure and function of many tissues are known to occur during metabolic disturbances. We have conducted investigations into:
- insulin as a vasodilator -alterations of tissue responses following exposure to high concentrations of glucose
- blood vessels, adipose tissue (subcutaneous and visceral adipose tissue), skeletal muscle
